Alternatively, if you like my work, please consider donating to shmuplations! I’ve (happily) put an inordinate amount of unpaid time into these translations, and I will undoubtedly continue to do so. Shmuplations is purely a non-profit project for me, so I appreciate any financial support.

 Thank you!

I am available for commissioned game translations, be it for commercial or private use, at very reasonable rates. The exact price depends on the size and difficulty of the project, but for private individuals or those with limited budgets, I usually charge well below market rates. My areas of expertise lie in Japanese video game, pop culture, and music translations. My professional background is in legal translation, but I doubt you care about that. ;)

If you have something you’d like me to translate, but can’t afford to pay for it, I still might do it if I find it interesting enough! I’m especially interested in older, now-historical game materials from the 80s and 90s: interviews, essays, ads, articles, what-have-you.

In any event, please contact me at and let me know what you have in mind!
